Step back in time to the glitz and glamour of the Roaring ’20s at the 48th annual Art Deco Weekend, January 18-20. Taking place on the shores of South Beach, Art Deco Weekend honors the architecture and style of the Art Deco Historic District that continues to shape Greater Miami & Miami Beach.
Organized by the Design Preservation League (MDPL), Art Deco Weekend marks a historic milestone as the festival celebrates the Art Deco Centennial (1925-2025). Stroll through the Collins Avenue/Ocean Drive Shopping District to admire Art Deco buildings with vibrant hues of pastel pinks, yellows and blues that accentuate the geometric patterns and nautical themes inherent to the Art Deco style.
Enjoy guided tours, classic car shows, films, antique displays, family-friendly activities and more at this free community event that spans Ocean Drive and Lummus Park between 5th and 12th streets. Experience a blend of history, culture and creativity at Art Deco Weekend.

The Original Miami Beach Antique Show
January 9-13
Before Art Deco Weekend, discover timeless collectibles at The Original Miami Beach Antique Show at the Miami Beach Convention Center. You’ll find an extensive selection of vintage fashion, home décor, art, jewelry and more from over 600 domestic and international dealers from 30 countries. Treat yourself to hidden gems from renowned designers like Hermès, Rolex, Cartier and more. Take your shopping to the next level with educational events and workshops hosted by industry experts sharing valuable tips on collecting antiques. Don’t miss the opportunity to get your valuables appraised by the international auction house Bonhams.
Art Deco Weekend at the Wolf
January 18
Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 1925 Paris Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, the birthplace of Art Deco, with Art Deco Weekend at the Wolf at The Wolfsonian-FIU in South Beach. Deepen your understanding of and appreciation for Art Deco with a program of engaging talks and events centered on the design movement.
Beyond Paris
Delve into the world of Art Deco, starting with the 1925 Paris Exposition, at Beyond Paris. Embark on a journey to France with The Wolfsonian-FIU chief curator Silvia Barisione and learn more about how Art Deco evolved across different continents and was influenced by local cultures to become a global phenomenon.
Art Deco Crosses the Atlantic
The Wolfsonian-FIU art historian Madeleine Deschamps will host Art Deco Crosses the Atlantic. Art Deco continuously influences design in France and the United States, from the bold and luxurious materials of French Art Deco to the functionally sleek expression of American Art Deco. Explore how the style transformed over the past 100 years.
The Hidden Histories of Mediterranean Revival Architecture
Before Art Deco emerged in Greater Miami & Miami Beach, the Mediterranean Revival architectural style had become widely popular in the 1920s. Dive into The Wolfsonian-FIU archives with historian Emily Neumeier in The Hidden Histories of Mediterranean Revival Architecture as she introduces you to the developers, architects and socio-economic factors that shaped Miami’s development.
Expo Metro Deco Art Trains
January 18-20
The Expo Metro Deco Art Trains is an international art gallery on wheels featuring digital artwork by international artists, displayed on giant mobile billboards along Ocean Drive. You’ll be able to scan a QR code on each train to access a virtual gallery and learn more about the artists.
