Explore the rich cultural heritage of Miami-Dade's historic Black communities through an immersive mobile experience. The Black History Month Cultural Bus Tours, organized by the Department of Transportation and Public Works, will run on February 8 and 22, departing at 10:00 a.m. from the Stephen P. Clark Center in Downtown Miami. These free, narrated two-and-a-half-hour tours guide participants through significant neighborhoods including Coconut Grove, Overtown, Liberty City and Little Haiti.
Each date features a distinct itinerary, with the February 8th tour including a visit to the Historic Black Police Precinct & Courthouse Museum, while the February 22nd tour stops at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. Pre-registration is required, with a limit of four people per group. These educational tours, endorsed by Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, provide participants with opportunities to explore select historical sites while learning about the communities' lasting impact on Miami-Dade County.
