Dancing Prokofiev and Ravel

Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida presents Dancing Prokofiev and Ravel, a mixed bill performance at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. This dynamic program highlights the works of Sergei Prokofiev and Maurice Ravel, featuring choreography by Vladimir Issaev and guest choreographer Miao Zong.

The evening begins with excerpts from Issaev’s The Tale of the Stone Flower, a narrative ballet based on Prokofiev’s score that tells a story of love and perseverance through the journey of Danila, a stone carver. The program also includes a revival of Issaev’s Classic Symphony, a lively ballet showcasing the company’s technical precision and artistry. The performance concludes with Zong’s choreography of Bolero, set to Ravel’s iconic music and complemented by Aldemaro Romero’s Quinta Anauco.
