Enjoy an oceanside concert featuring global rhythms by a retro world-jazz ensemble. The Dodo Orchestra takes the stage at Lummus Park on Sunday, March 2 as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series.
This NYC-based outfit brings their sophisticated fusion of world music styles to Miami Beach, featuring interpretations of French, German, Italian and Russian retro classics alongside samba, tango and Balkan influences. Their innovative arrangements weave together swing, chanson and reggae elements, showcasing the cosmopolitan spirit of their home city.
Visitors are encouraged to bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the free performance, which takes place between 14th Street and 14th Place. In case of inclement weather, the concert will move indoors to The Betsy Hotel.
The Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series is a free, weekly Sunday concert series made possible through the support of The City of Miami Beach, The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and The Ocean Drive Association.
