Inside the Music: Asian Soundscapes
Mar 24, 2025
Starting: 7:00 PM
A musical journey through Asia's rich cultural heritage brings together traditional influences and contemporary compositions in an intimate chamber concert. Led by Singaporean NWS Fellow Natalie Koh, Inside the Music: Asian Soundscapes will be presented at the New World Center's Truist Pavilion on Monday, March 24.
The program features works that draw inspiration from folk melodies and traditional poetry alongside new compositions, including an electronic trio by Singaporean composer Jia Yi Lee and a chamber work premiere by Korean Violin Fellow Ye Jin Min. Personal narratives from the performers complement the music, offering insights into the cultural context of each piece.
This concert, part of New World Symphony's BLUE Projects initiative, provides a platform for Asian voices in classical music while introducing Miami audiences to the diverse musical traditions of Asia.
Tickets are available on a pay-what-you-wish basis starting at $10, with all proceeds supporting the New World Symphony Fellows program.
