Frost Science's sensory-friendly museum experience welcomes visitors to explore scientific concepts in an adapted environment. Just for Me: Safety Lab Training takes place at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science on Wednesday, March 19 from 4-5:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 22 from 10-11:30 a.m.
During these dedicated hours, the museum adjusts sound and lighting levels throughout its exhibitions to accommodate diverse sensory needs. For this installment, visitors will participate in an interactive lab safety demonstration, learning essential practices for conducting safe experiments. The program includes hands-on activities that allow participants to engage with scientific concepts at their own pace.
The museum provides complementary resources including a Social Narrative guide and Just For Me backpacks equipped with noise-reducing earmuffs and sensory tools. These backpacks are available in both child and adult sizes on a first-come, first-served basis at the front kiosk.
This program, designed for individuals and families with diverse sensory and accessibility needs, requires no advance registration.
