Lunar New Year: Year of the Snake

Celebrate the Lunar New Year with a weekend of festive activities at the Miami Children’s Museum. Taking place on Saturday, January 25, and Sunday, January 26, this special program honors the Year of the Snake through creative projects that highlight prosperity, happiness and the traditions of the season.

Activities include crafting and decorating Lucky Lunar Fans in the Art Studio, a symbol of joy and prosperity. In the Kidscape Village, children can design Lunar Luck Envelopes, learning about their cultural significance while preparing heartfelt wishes for loved ones. Over in the Health & Wellness Classroom, participants can bring the magic of Lunar New Year parades to life by creating their own Parade Float Sculptures using air-dry clay, sequins and other materials.
