Just for Me: Bug Out
Through Nov 23, 2024
Select Days
Wed: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM | Sat: 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is hosting a Just for Me session on Wednesday, November 20 and Saturday, November 23, designed for individuals and families with diverse sensory and accessibility needs. These sessions allow visitors to experience the museum in a calm and inclusive environment.
During Just for Me hours, the museum will make adjustments to lighting and sound levels within the exhibitions to create a more sensory-friendly atmosphere. A special tactile and interactive activation will be available within one exhibit, offering guests the chance to explore scientific concepts at their own pace.
Both November installments will feature a special activation focused on the museum's newest exhibition, Bugs. Visitors will have the chance to:
- Explore pollinator flight patterns via the use of Beebots.
- Engage with insect senses using tactile and sensory experiences to identify insects and understand their adaptations.
This event provides an opportunity for families to connect with others, share resources and enjoy a fun and educational experience at the Frost Museum of Science.
You can learn more about a typical visit through Frost Science's Social Narrative.
