Renew, Rest and Replenish Retreat to Start the New Year
Jan 05, 2025
From: 11:00 AM to 03:00 PM
Begin the new year with an immersive experience of rest, renewal and mindful intention-setting at Patch of Heaven Sanctuary’s on Sunday, January 5. This four-hour mini-retreat offers a tranquil space to slow down, reflect and set meaningful intentions for the year ahead, grounded in nature and restorative practices.
The day opens with a cacao tea welcome, followed by a vow of quiet to foster introspection. Participants will explore intention-setting from a mindful perspective, distinguishing it from manifesting as they settle into practices like Yoga Nidra, a guided “deep yogic sleep” that promotes a full-body reset through deep relaxation. Later, a silent walk through the sanctuary’s serene forest invites guests to reconnect with nature and practice “slow living.” The retreat also incorporates a mindful eating experience, offering a healthy organic buffet for a grounded and nourishing lunch.
In the afternoon, attendees will engage in the Earth-Sky-Body Scan, a seated meditation that deepens connection with self and intention. Additional activities include quiet reflection in the garden’s contemplative spaces, a mindful action step exercise and a closing tea gathering. Led by Suzanne Jewell, Chief Experience Officer at Patch of Heaven and certified mindfulness teacher, this retreat combines her extensive expertise in mindful leadership, forest therapy and restorative practices.
This retreat offers an opportunity to step away from everyday demands, allowing you to reset, clarify personal goals and connect with inner peace as you prepare for the year ahead.
