The Gratitude Project Picnic at Patch
Nov 24, 2024
From: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
On Sunday, November 24, Patch of Heaven Sanctuary hosts The Gratitude Project Picnic at Patch, a reflective half-day retreat held in honor of National Gratitude Month. Set amidst the sanctuary’s serene landscape of lotus ponds and 123-year old Florida forest, this event invites participants to explore the benefits of gratitude as a practice for building resilience and cultivating optimism.
The day begins with a welcome session, followed by a discussion led by Suzanne Jewell, Patch of Heaven’s Chief Experience Officer and certified mindfulness meditation teacher, who will delve into gratitude’s positive impact on mental and physical well-being. Guests will experience a guided meditation in nature, enjoy a light picnic of artisanal bread, hummus, olives, olive oil and fresh fruit, and engage in practical exercises for cultivating gratitude. Participants will also learn the “Declare It Good” gratitude journal practice, a tool designed to encourage daily reflections on thankfulness and mindfulness.
The event includes dedicated time for silent walks, journal reflections and a group sharing session, all designed to encourage introspection and connection in a natural setting. Led by experienced mindfulness and resilience instructors, the program introduces gratitude as a valuable practice that can help enhance personal wellness, reduce stress and foster a greater sense of community.
The Gratitude Project Picnic at Patch offers an opportunity to unwind and reconnect with oneself in nature, surrounded by the peaceful ambiance of Patch of Heaven Sanctuary’s sacred spaces.
